Section 1.1 (Algebra of complex numbers): 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 13, 14, 15, 17, 19, 20, 22, 23, 28, 29.

Section 1.2 (Point representation of complex numbers): 1, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 11, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17.

Section 1.3 (Vectors and polar forms): 5, 7, 9, 22.

Section 1.4 (Complex exponential function): 2, 3, 5, 7, 12,17.

This was the first lecture and it had the form-factor of an "overview" of the course. In addition, from the book, I managed to cover Sections 1.1 and 1.2.

IMPORTANT MESSAGE: If anyone still wants to have the course taught in English, please let me know before Monday. If I do not hear anything, I will teach in Norwegian.

We will use the book Edward B. Saff & Arthur David Snider: Fundamentals of Complex Analysis with Applications to Engineering, Science, and Mathematics, 3/E, Prentice Hall. Required reading from the course textbook will be posted later (fall).
