On the mandatory assignment

Solutions to the mandatory assignment can be written in either Norwegian or English (if you write in Norwegian, Matematikkr?dets mathematical dictionary may be useful).

If you submit a scanned copy of a handwritten solution, then that will usually be easier for Erik and me to read if you write on blank paper rather than paper with lines or a grid, so blank paper is preferable (but not formally required).
