Today i defined the annihilator of a module (page 19 and 20) and did Exercise 2.2. Then I started on the paragraph about finitely generated modules, did 2.3, 2.6 and 2.8.

Next time we will finish that paragraph, doing 2.4 and 2.5. Then we will do exact sequences, and may be start on tensor products.

I did exercises 9. 10, 11 and 12 from the book (with the gap in 9 which I hopefully will fill). We had no time to do the ones on the sheet, but will come back to those.

Today (26. august) I stopped in the middle of proposition 1.10. I gave the statements and proved (ii), and next time we continue with the proof of (i) and (ii).

Next week, I plan to finish chapter 1 and do chapter 2 until the middle of page 24, i.e., finish the paragraph called "Exact sequences".
