I have been asked whether I expect you to answer questions about completions of local rings, analytically isomorphic varieties, and elimination theory. The answer is no. (But it will not hurt if you know that formal power series rings such as k[[x]] or k[[x,y,..]] are complete local rings.)

The mandatory assignments from

Daniloff, Gammelgaard, Hacker, Helle, H?glend, Maugesten, Nerland, Pauli, Skauli, Teule, Vodrup, Volle

are approved. The first six will have the oral exam on Thursday March 31, the six last on Friday April 1.

The oral exams in MAT4210 will take place on Thursday March 31 (in room UE26, on the floor ¡°U¡± in the Niels Henrik Abel building) and Friday April 1 (in room 801, on floor 8 in the Niels Henrik Abel building).
