Update

Dear all, 

Next week we will start working with Hilbert spaces. 

The material will be taken from the book Partial Differential Equations in Action (Second edition) by Sandro Salsa. You can download this book for free from the UiO library site. 

Suggested reading (and the material we will go through in the lectures) is chapters 6.1 -6.4. 

We will skip the part on separable spaces, so don¡¯t spend much time on e.g. proposition 6.18. 

In the lecture on Monday 25.01 I¡¯ll take questions about the exercises. I will put out a video lecture on the mentioned material, no later than Tuesday 26.01 and we will go through the video on Wednesday.
