The mandatory assignment covers material from the first six weeks of lectures. This corresponds to Section 7.1–7.6 and 8.1–8.4 in Spaces and A measure of Lebesgue measure. In the latter, only Section 1.1 is relevant.

Be advised that the subproblems have varying difficulty. For example, in Problem 2 we feel that (a) and (b) are considerably more difficult than (c) and (d). You may, of course, use the result from a previous subproblem even though you have not solved that subproblem (yet).
Note that you only have one attempt at passing the mandatory assignment.
