This is the fall 2024 semester page for the course MAT3500/MAT4500 - Topology.  We will use the textbook "Topology" (second edition) by James Munkres, supplemented by the lecture notes

which are based on chapters 1-5, 7 and 9 of that book.  The topics to be outlined during the Tuesday and Wednesday lectures will be listed on the semester schedule

and the exercises (from Munkres' book) to be discussed during the Thursday problem sessions will also be listed on that schedule.
