Welcome to STK4011-f17.

The textbook for the course is ¡°Statistical
Inference¡± by Casella and Berger. The curriculum
will be mostly as last year, so to get an idea you can 
consult the webpage for that year.

The core material is in chapter 5-10. A brief 
overview of the known material in chapters 1-4 
will be given in the first lecture and also a
discussion of sections 3.4 and 3.5 of two important 
families of distributions.

For the rest of the semester the the sessions will be 
a mixture of new material and discussion of assigned 
exercises.
