The oral exam in STK4080 will be held Wednesday 13th and Thursday 14th December (the latter date only if needed). Only students who have handed in their project report by December 5th are allowed to take the oral exam (cf. the message of October 25th).

As has been discussed at the lectures, the exam in STK4080 will consist of a small project and an oral exam. The project, which will not be the same for everyone, will test the practical skills of the students, while the oral exam mainly will concentrate on the more teoretical sides of the course (but some questions on the project may be asked as well). The students will get their projects at the lectures Friday November 17th, and the deadline for handing in (or e-mailing) the written solution is Tuesday December 5th. The dates for the oral exam are not set yet, but it will most likely be in week 50. Students who do not attend the lectures Friday November 17th have to conntact ?rnulf Borgan no later than Monday November 20th to get their projects.

The exercise to week 44 is a "trial project" of similar type as the one that will be part of the exam. Those who want to, may hand in the solution for comments. (Deadline :November 3rd). The text of the "trial project" is given in Norwegian. Please let me know if that causes problems for someone.
