Contrary to earlier messages, there will be no exercises that strictly require a computer in this course.

In the lectures on Causal DAGs, you will be introduced to a web based program called DAGitty (www.dagitty.net), and having a laptop available to try this program would be an advantage (but not an absolute requirement). In some of the other lectures examples of computer code (especially in R) can be given and/or discussed, but having a computer available during the talks is, again, not an absolute requirement.

If you want to get more familiar with the R software package, using the user friendly environment R-studio is recommended. Both R and R-studio is free and R-studio can be downloaded at www.rstudio.com or from "programvaredatabasen" at UiO (www.uio....
