I have looked through Ex. 2 from the bureaucratic agency exercise. As far as I can see, we can't find a closed form solution. Details can be found here

There is a typo in Seminar question 2) 2. on employment relations: It should read R = r[u (w,e)/r ¨C Vu]

The section from Moene, Wallerstein and Hoel (1993) is quite long. In the lecture, we'll concentrate on Ch. 11
