The prize is awarded during UiO's Annual Celebration in September. Each of the winners receive NOK 10 000.
Award winners 2023
The 2023 recipients of the Sustainability Award were Tina Andersen V?genes (Faculty of Social Sciences), Annija Punka (Faculty of Law), and Satu Innanen (Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences) who received the prize.
The three projects deal with the paradox that arises between green development and green colonialism in climate adaptation within indigenous territories, the effect of recent atmospheric warming on glacier melting, and an analysis of legal principles that should be part of an international agreement to limit plastic pollution.
