International cooperation in education

UiO works with international educational cooperation and student and staff mobility both at central and local level. The Department of Education Services has system responsibility and manages this field in collaboration with UiO's faculties and units.

For information on researcher mobility, internationalization for PhD and admission of international guest researchers or PhD students, see website for research support.

Funding of educational cooperation

There are many opportunities for funding for international collaboration. Projects at the University of Oslo may apply for funding through various programmes for supporting collaboration in education and research:

For information about programmes in addition to the ones on this page, please see UiO's website about funding for collaboration and HK-dir's website.

Student mobility

UiO has exchange agreements with more than 500 universities around the world and participates in a number of international exchange programmes such as Erasmus+  and Nordplus. Agreements are based on mutual interest in cooperation between our own and the cooperating institution’s researchers and departments.
