Nivlheim

What is Nivlheim?

Nivlheim is software that USIT has developed for collecting and storing information from a server park. It collects data from all machines regardless of operating system.

The data are made available through an API, for usage by other automated systems. Search functions are available. Collected data is processed, and key information is extracted. F.ex. kernel version and hardware serial number.

Data is kept for some time, so you can see changes.

Getting started

The software can be used by employees at UiO.  You will be asked to log in via Feide. If it ask you about affiliation to an organization, choose University of Oslo.
