Semester abroad

If you plan to study a semester abroad, we recommend that you do so in the second semester of the Master's programme. The exchange should be arranged in cooperation with your supervisor so you can select courses that are relevant to your programme.

It may also be possible to work on your Master's thesis at a partner institution. Theses in observational astronomy may include stays at observatories abroad. Master's students will also be able to participate in meetings, summer schools and the like.

Please refer to the faculty’s lists over study exchange options. You should also check out the university’s exchange agreements. Finally, you may also study abroad at your own initiative, independently of any of the University of Oslo’s agreements.
