Want to work to improve the everyday student environment at the Centre for Gender Research?

STK is hiring four students in short-term positions as student assistants for both the BA and MA level in 2021. We envisage two people per level. Each person will be allotted 20 working hours, for a total of 80 hours.

During the current pandemic situation, the Ministry of Local Government and Modernisation has granted some funds to higher education institutions to strengthen the study environment and increase activity in the study programs:

?The funds should go to pay student assistants as a measure to contribute to better academic support of other students in order to secure better learning outcomes, learning environments and progression?.

If you have an idea for something you would like to do that fits the description, please send an application to Helle Granum by 18 May. Two or more students may apply together. The application should be limited to one page and can be in Norwegian or English.

Prerequisite: applying students must be program students either on the BA in Tverrfaglige kj?nnsstudier or on the MA in Gender Studies.

The application should include:

  • A short explanation of why you want to apply for the position
  • At least one concrete suggestion for an activity/measure that will contribute to better learning outcomes, learning environments and/or progression for students either on the BA or MA level. The applicant(s) will be responsible for executing this within the available hours. Please indicate for which level (BA or MA) your activity/measure is thought.
  • Indicate how many hours will be spent on the activity/measure and if you think you will need funds beyond the allotted hours. STK may supply extra funds covering costs beyond those hours.

We will evaluate the applications according to how well their measures fit, and how realistic it will be to implement them within the time frame (2021). We may revise the suggestions we wish to implement in order to adjust the plans. The applications will be evaluated quickly.
