Career opportunities

A master’s degree in Viking and Medieval Studies forms the basis for further doctoral studies and research work. The general skills and competencies acquired through the studies are also relevant in other industries where tasks related to analysis, consulting, case processing, teaching and pedagogical work, editorial tasks and journalism are conducted.

Start developing your career

In your third semester, you can choose to have an internship at a workplace relevant to your field of study. You can also write a master's thesis in collaboration with an external funder/employer.You can write your master's thesis in cooperation with an external partner. Through this you can get valuable contacts and network that can be useful when you apply for a job after graduation. You can also prepare for working life along the way by participating in career fairs, job search and interview workshops, and career counseling offered to students.
