The United Nations’ Charter based system for the protection of human rights has been subject to a great deal of criticism, and is now being reformed. Describe and analyse the Charter based system commenting on disadvantages and advantages for the effective protection of human rights.

Question 2.
The Treaty bodies created for monitoring State compliance with human rights treaties have different means for supervising State practice. Describe, analyse and comment upon the different means and give your opinion on their effectiveness.
