Textbook

We will mainly use the textbook "Bayesian Data Analysis" (Gelman, Carlin, Stern, Dunson, Vehtari, Rubin, 3rd edition, 2014), supplied with some additional material during the semester.

The textbook has a webpage with some additional material, including a list of errata which can be found here

    • Chapter 1: All
    • Chapter 2: All
    • Chapter 3: All
    • Chapter 4: Only sections 4.1-4.3
    • Chapter 5: Only sections 5.1-5.5
    • Chapter 6: All except section about P-values and u-values (pages 151-152)
    • Chapter 7: All
    • Chapter 10: All except section 10.7
    • Chapter 11: All
    • Chapter 12: 12.4, 12.5, 12.6 
    • Chapter 14: 14.1, 14.2
  • Lecture notes
    • Note in particular that the notes about decision theory is part of the curriculum. This is also covered in chapter 9 in the book, but only the topics covered in the notes are included.
    • Regarding the notes for chapter 4, only the first 15 pages are included.
  • Exercises given during the semester
