Course content

The course treat key questions in the field of language development and reading disabilities.

Learning outcome

The cours covers the following subjects:

  • Language basis of reading disabilities (day 1)
  • Early identification of reading disabilities in Response to intervention framework (day 2)

Admission

PhD-candidates enrolled in NATED will be given priority, but it is also possible for other PhD-candidates to apply for the course.

Prerequisites

Formal prerequisite knowledge

No obligatory prerequisites beyond the minimum requirements for entrance to higher education in Norway.

Teaching

Duration: 12 hours over two days.

Examination

1 credit point for course participation (80 % attendance required).
3 credit points for course participation and submitted paper.
