The programme committee for human geography
Students have their own programme committee. Participation in the programme committee for human geography is voluntary, and the current board consists of 9 students from both bachelor and master’s degree programmes.
The committee’s purpose is to promote the academic and academic-social environment of human geography students. This is done through organizing debates, seminars and social gatherings – in a spatial context. The programme committee also represents human geography students in the board at the Department of Sociology and Human Geography, in the Programme Council for Human Geography and in the Faculty of Social Sciences Student Committee (SVSU).

Student politics
The Faculty of Social Sciences Student Committee (SVSU) aims to protect students’ academic and study-related interests vis-a-vis faculty management.
The Student Parliament is UiO students’ highest elected body. We are working to protect students’ academic and study-related interests vis-a-vis university management, the central bodies in the Norwegian Student Organization, Oslo municipality and Storting.
