Semester abroad

By completing one or two semesters as a student abroad, you can gain unique professional expertise. It will give you language skills, an extended network and international experience.

We recommend going on exchange in the 2nd or 3rd semester of the master's study.

Where can you go?

We have lists of approved subjects with several of our partners, including:

Several universities have research groups with which the nuclear physics group at the Institute of Physics in Oslo collaborates closely. By choosing one of these places for exchange, you have the opportunity to get an international co-supervisor, to be integrated into this research group, and to participate in group activities such as seminars and experiments.

Want to go somewhere else? See the complete list of all the agreements for the Department of Physics or contact the program coordinator. You can examine all the agreements at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences and associated departments or all the agreements at UiO in general. You also have the opportunity to complete a stay abroad on your own initiative, independent of the University of Oslo's agreements.
