The MCT programme has been approved by the UiO board

We are happy to announce that "Music, Communication & Technology" (MCT) will be the very first joint degree between NTNU and UiO, the two biggest universities in Norway. The programme is now approved by the UiO board and will soon be approved by the NTNU board.

The programme will welcome it's first students Autumn 2018, and is considered a priority of both universities, for several reasons:

  • MCT will be a great platform for close cooperation on education and research between the two universities.
  • MCT will offer innovative teaching and learning methods, including "flipped classroom", telematic group work, and problem-based learning.
  • MCT represents an exciting new interdisciplinary field, drawing on methods and theories from music cognition, informatics, sound design and human-computer interaction.
