Programme structure

The Master's programme in Music, Communication and Technology (MCT) is a two year full-time study of 120 ECTS credits.

The Master's curriculum offered by MCT follows this structure:

  • 50 ECTS from compulsory courses
  • 40 ECTS from elective courses
    (or 10 ECTS from elective courses and one semester abroad)
  • 30 ECTS Master’s thesis

Candidates may apply for recognition of up to 40 ECTS taken in other 4000/5000-level courses when these can be seen as relevant for the Master's Thesis. If you wish to do so, please write an email (half a page) with information about the courses and why you think they are relevant to the student advisor.
