Knowledge and understanding
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of Energy Law
- Thorough knowledge and understanding in the specializations of Energy Law, relevant for law practice, research and European integration
- Thorough knowledge and understanding in the functioning and workings of all European organizations linked with Energy Law and the interaction between central and decentral aspects of Energy Law as part of international and European Law and the interaction between institutional and material Energy Law as part of international and European Law
Competences
- The competence to acquire, assess and use relevant facts and data, law, jurisprudence, research outcomes and literature in the field of Energy Law
- The competence to independently do law research in the field of Energy Law and by this contribute to the process of law giving/development of law
- The competence to participate independently in the debate in the discipline of Energy Law, specifically between law professionals c.q. colleagues
- The competence to formulate a complex theory in the discipline of Energy Law and present this theory in writing or as oral presentation, to be clearly understood by colleagues or non-colleagues, at least in English
General academic skills
- Is able to keep up with and make use of professional literature in relevant subfields
- Is able to make himself/herself familiar with a subfield of the own discipline within a reasonable time span
- Is able to formulate a research plan based on a global problem description in a subfield of the own discipline
- Is able to analyse, interpret, using state of the art information, and draw conclusions from research results
