Digital Research Methods and Competence Development: Sharing for Mutual Inspiration

Welcome to the next TFF meeting, 22 March, focused on how we at TF, as a research and teaching community, can share information and inspire each other in working with digital research methods and digital competence development. Professors Hugo Lundhaug, Terje Stordalen and Hallgeir Elstad will share digital tidbits from their own research, before opening up for comments, questions and discussion. Serena Baldari will introduce and facilitate the meeting.

We suggest that you bring your laptop to the meeting if you wish to take part in the small session of ¡°hands-on¡± experiences during Terje's presentation. If you wish you prepare a bit for this part of the meeting, consider taking a look at the web applications available at the Norwegian National Library: https://www.nb.no/dh-lab/apper/ (Sorry, no English version web page available!)

Later the same day, the first meeting of TF's new study group for digital research methods, TFDIG, will take place at 14:00 - 15:00 in room 214. All TF employees are welcome to join, no prior knowledge needed. Please bring a brief description (a few sentences) of a project you are currently working on (in your research or teaching), with which you are curious about exploring the potential of using digital tools and methods. In addition to sharing ideas, in this first meeting, Serena will give a short introduction to a few ways in which using the programming language Python can be useful in theological and religious studies research. Remember to bring your laptop.
